Study Focus: Vitamin D and Type 2 Diabetes

Study Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of taking vitamin D on the prevention of diabetes in people who may be at high risk for diabetes. This study is supported by the National Institutes of Health.

 Study Commitment: 1 screening visit, 11 study visits, 7 follow-up phone calls

Study Duration: Up to 4 years

Study Qualifications: Men and women over the age of 30 and a Body Mass Index (BMI) ≥25 and ≤40.

  • Physical Exam
  • Laboratory testing
  • Oral Glucose Tolerance Test (OGTT)
  • Study Medications
